Accessibility Statement
Introduction

Our accommodation is a ground floor apartment situated on the promenade in central Dunoon. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, but if you have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you.

Pre-Arrival

• Bookings / enquiries can be made online, via email or telephone.
• The nearest bus stop is approximately 50 yards away.
• The nearest train station is Gourock a 20 minute trip by ferry away. There are accessible taxis at the station.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• There is a car parking area/ drive with enough room for 2 cars.
• There is also on-street parking.
• The car parking area is gravel, flat and even
• The entrance to the apartment at the front has ramped access. It has a hand rail on the left (door hinged on the right).
• Parking is approximately 5 metres away from the entrance.
• The parking area is lit by an outside light.
• The outside light beside the entrance door is switched on from the inside of the house in the porch.
• Check-in from 2pm on day of arrival
• Key collection. On entering the car park please proceed to the stairway to the left of the property. Keys are kept with my parents who live above the holiday apartment. My father will show you round informing you of room layout, operation of appliances and general health and safety.


General Information

• The front door is 90cm wide and the key hole lock 75cm high.
• Inside the entrance there is a porch with a cupboard storing outside chairs and electricity trip switches. (If light bulbs blow then trip switch will need reset).
• In the hallway there is a fire point. Break glass to set of fire alarm system.
• The porch opens into the hallway with the kitchen accessed through the far left hand door. The lounge is first on your left. Main bedroom first on your right. Back bedrooms at the rear of hallway.
• Heating is gas central heating throughout. There is an electric fire in the lounge, and radiators in each of the other rooms.


Lounge and Dining Room

• Door width 90cm
• The dining room is open plan with the lounge
• A rectangular table in the lounge measuring 1.70 metres long, 0.90 metres wide and 75cm high
• Chairs are movable with padded seats and no arms
• There is a free space of 3 metres clear of doors and furniture.
• Flooring is wooden with a rug
• Furniture is moveable
• Two leather covered double sofas plus a remote reclining chair .
• Free view is available on TV with remote control, DVD player and video player, portable CD player with radio.
• Electric fire
• CD music system
• Books and game library

Kitchen

• The worktop height is standard approximately 80cm
• Oven door is drop down with hob above is gas at standard height.
• Kitchen sink is standard height with cupboards underneath.
• Standard size front loading washing machine is provided.
• Lighting is spotlight bulbs on ceiling with hanging main light above kitchen table.
• 1.50 metres free space between all furniture and worktops.
• Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces.
• Fridge/ freezer available.
• Microwave available.
• Dish washer available.
• Flooring is tiled.
• Smoke and carbon monoxide alarm fitted.

Hallway
• Smoke alarm fitted.
• Coat hangers for 10 coats
• Hard wired fire alarm system. Break glass to set-off.

Bedrooms
• Door widths 90cm.
• 2 Double beds and 4 twin beds provided
• Bed height 80cm floor to top of mattress.
• Non feather duvets and pillows provided.
• Chests of drawers are 90 cm high. Bedside tables are 70cm high.
• Bedside lamps provided
• Wardrobes in all bedrooms
• Remote control TV’s in all bedrooms with access to Sky channels.
• Books and video films provided

Bathrooms
• Door widths 90cm.
• Bath with flexible shower, twin walk-in showers
• Bath height is 75 cm.
• Toilet seat height 43cm
• Flooring is tiled with toilet and bath mats.
• Good colour contrast between floor walls and furniture.
• Towels provided and vanity units in all bathrooms.

Grounds and Gardens
• Small enclosed garden (grassed) area and patio with stone flags, table, chairs and electric BBQ to the rear of the property.

Additional Information
• Information folder is produced in size 14 font.
• Good mobile phone reception and broadband access.
• The apartment is no smoking throughout.
• Pets and service dogs welcome, please inform us when booking.
• Laundry service available
• House hold waste is collected every Wednesday morning from bin at main front gate.
• Recycling boxes are situated on the back window of the utility room. We will recycle for you.
• Cash point round the corner beside the supermarket.

When you leave:
Please

• Switch off the lights
• Make sure electrical appliances are switched off at the mains
• Lock all doors and windows
• Leave the property clean and tidy
• Take out the rubbish
• Please sign the guest book
• Check you have all your belongings
• Vacate the property by 10am
